Unfortunately the only resolution I could find was removing it thru console command by clicking on each plant and typing in disable. I believe the console players are kinda of screwed with this bug. What causes the bug IIRC is when you try to do this when someone is assigned to a crop. If you already have damaged crops I do not think there is a fix for it.
