WebTwo goldfish staying in top corner. Greetings, I have a question about my two, very small (2" long each) common goldfish. I have had them for about a month. In the past few days, both are staying at the top of the tank, and in particular one specific corner. They still eat, and are swimming strongly, against a strong current from my 12" airstone. Web1. This is for two reasons, it mimics the fish’s natural environment and the disruption of the water gives the fish oxygen to breath.
